* An exhaustive compilation of literature citations for supplemental information
Summary: Pretty informative, but . . .
Rating: 3
Although the information was useful, it was a bit basic even after only six months of hands-on ICP-MS experience. It just didn’t have the detail I was looking for. Also, it was written when collision cell technology was still a new application and its description is sadly short. I gave it only three stars because, of the 293 pages of text, 120 pages were references.
Summary: Useful Introductory Guide
Rating: 5
If you haven’t come across the ICP-MS technique before, this book is a very good introductory guide. Topics such as instrumentation, theory and interferences are well-written. I trust the book is well worth reading.
