The revised Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures, SEI/ASCE 7-02, gives the latest consensus requirements for dead, live, soil, flood, wind, snow, rain, ice, and earthquake loads, and their combinations, that are suitable for inclusion in building codes and other documents. Numerous other provisions of all other SEI/ASCE 7-02 are also adopted by reference by both model building codes including the provisions for calculating wind loads and snow loads thereby making SEI/ASCE 7 an integral part of the building codes of the United States.
