The National Veterinary Medical Series (NVMS) is an effective, economical system for learning and review. Basic and clinical veterinary sciences are outlined in a practical format that enables you to master large amounts of information in a limited amount of time.

The books in the NVMS help you prepare for the National Boards and the Clinical Competency Test and are excellent resources for problem-based learning.

Summary: Great I
Rating: 5

This book is marketed at the boards- Im a veterinary student in Ireland. I did find certain parts of it relating to - “Only found in mid western region” etc not very helpful but on the whole this book is great. It gives concise, pertinent and diagnosable information for the veterinary student….would also be useful for the practictioner as a quick reference to update or brush up on information.
I have found in very helpful in the problem based learning modules we have to take in college. Its not the most detailed book in the world and would never be used to supplement as a textbook but as an overview and quick reference its great.

Summary: Great reference
Rating: 4

This book is a great quick reference book for large animal medicine topics.
