A focus on important concepts you should learn – not memorization of facts
Management Strategy Tips in each chapter
Clinically relevant detail on cases you will see
Learning objectives at the start of each chapter

Summary: Great Overview
Rating: 5

This book is obviously not supposed to be used as the sole source of material for your internal medicine rotation. But it is a quick and easy read that does manage to cover all the basics so you have a “big picture” which is excellent for the wards. It also covers common procedures that doctors perform in the hospital, albeit lightly. Still, you are able to establish a great basis off which you can build your knowledge. I really wish I had discovered this series sooner. I was midway through my internal med rotation when I came about this book and it was a godsend. The Washingtom Manual is great, but if you want to build a base so you know what to look for and when to look for it, this book is a must-have for your medical library.

Summary: Great
Rating: 5

A quick read that is fun and thorough enough for the medicine clerkship. I enjoyed reading this book as the chapters were short but covered enough material.
