Say goodbye to dry presentations, grueling formulas, and abstract theories that would put Einstein to sleep — now there’s an easier way to master the disciplines you really need to know.

McGraw-Hill’s Demystified Series teaches complex subjects in a unique, easy-to-absorb manner, and is perfect for users without formal training or unlimited time. They’re also the most time-efficient, interestingly written “brush-ups” you can find.

Organized as self-teaching guides, they come complete with key points, background information, questions at the end of each chapter, and even final exams. You’ll be able to learn more in less time, evaluate your areas of strength and weakness and reinforce your knowledge and confidence.

This clear, heavily-illustrated guide to the human body covers anatomy of cells and tissues, muscle tissue, major muscles of the body, nervous tissue, membranes, organs, cancer, the skin, the human skeleton, the nervous system, glands, the senses, the cardiovascular system, the immune system, the respiratory system, digestion, genitourinary system, the embryo, and more.

Summary: Good to Great
Rating: 4

All of these De-Mystified books are good. They offer lots of easy illustrations and guidelines. But they move REALLY quickly. So use them as a refesher or an extra-aid to a college course.

Summary: Anatomy for dummies
Rating: 2

This book would be a good introduction for high schoolers thinking about studying anatomy, but not appropriate for university level study. The pictures are very low resolution hand drawn pictures mostly, the talking skeleton interface gives the book a very immature feel, but between the patronising ‘this is fun and easy’ approach it does covers real anatomy topics. Don’t buy if you allready have a decent text such as Marieb - Human anatomy and physiology or Gray’s anatomy. Is Dr. Layman the authors real name?? Oh the irony

Summary: excellent book from a real teacher!
Rating: 4

as a physician i highly appreciate the way basic priciples are explained.
i am still learning a lot!
the quiz -part i consider a waste of paper.
all in all highly recommended.
some drawings are not clear, certainly not for some body who never studied anatomy, but this could be made up by looking in other pictural anatomy books [second hand]
